Lol. I emailed the guy today. Most of the folk on the reserve list usually get in so get the training done Del and looks like Allan has a roomy 🤣
Just booked a hotel in Keswick for Mark A and I with free cancellation on the basis of hopefully getting in. Not much available in Grasmere at a sensible price, suspect it will get worse after the ballot. So for those without a van might be worth giving it a look.
From past experience Keswick side was easier to get in and out of but that’s just my experience, others may have found different.
Just entered the ballot.
Anyone else? Get a bit of club representation.
I’m in too.
Cheers.
I’m in.
Good event Jim. I would have done it again if hadn’t been doing the Dragon. The disco is a particular highlight!
As Del says, plenty wheels to suck and will be a quick run if you get the right wind.
Last year we were back to Crammond quite a bit before sunrise so worth timing your departure for the right time to avoid hanging about if you are planning to then cycle back to Glasgow.
A few clubs cycled down and back which I thought would have also been a good challenge.
Enjoy.
Looks good Del. 90 miler for me please.
Good luck Mark. You’ve done all the training so now it’s about enjoying the event.
Looks like we could get a couple of teams together which would be brilliant. Sign up for the ballot is pretty early from memory. I think December time. Hopefully everyone who wants to ride gets through the ballot. Not sure if there is a charity option to guarantee entry?
Looking at forecast might get a nice tailwind home 😁
I’m keen, got a couple others interested too.
Sounds good. @Jim – Winter bike with nobbly tyres OK?
Signed up for the 100 miler.
I’ve signed up, looking forward to it.
Lots going on in George Square and suspect it will be mobbed. Not far from the short sharp climb up Montrose Street too if in city centre.
