Hi Mikey, I’ve marshalled at this a few times. There’s usually a fine spread of sandwiches and cakes in the hall 😉.

I’m not sure who is organising but if you can let them know I’ll take a drive down for the woman’s event and probably stay for the men’s. I can marshal at both if required.

Where do we meet for the Sunday club rides these days? I might get myself down there in the morning.

    Cheers, Gordon G.

I’d be tempted by having a wee bash at the 10 on my road bike Derek but working up in Stornoway next week. I might get back in time if all goes well 🤔.

    Em.. definitely wouldn’t be a favourite 😁.

Galloway is my favourite cycling area Derek. I’ll aim for that 90k route… unless you can come up with a 90 furlongs route 🙄.

A nice, steady, easy pace would suit me fine.

I meant to add, I still have one of the club Tacx trainers. It was the one that was broken when we removed it from the barn. I checked it over and it is mechanically sound but there was slight water damage (sweat/spill) on the control board circuit.

It’s possible it could still be repaired but not cheap. Does someone want to take it on or do I consign it to the dump along with the signs? It might have done for spare bits for those who got the other club trainers.

Hi Colin, I thought I’d posted before but can’t find it.

I have a number of the clubs race signs in my garage and I’m keen to get rid of these as I don’t see us using them again. They’re the larger ‘sandwich board’ type plus the 1 & 2 mile to go signs. Also those large 180 turn signs.

These were the signs we had to pay a fortune to have a qualified company put out on the road.

I’ll book a slot at the local coup next weekend unless the club decide we want to keep them and someone else wants to store them 🙄.

    I’m don’t think I’ll make the AGM… I’m still no in great shape 😕.

    Hi Colin,

I’ve been storing assorted signs for cycle races including 1 mile and 2 mile to go. I’m doing a bit of a tidy up and could do with off-loading these. Are we keeping these for future use or can we ask other local clubs if they could use them? Anyone else with room to store them if being kept?

Hopefully make it along to the AGM.

That reminds me of that old library sign Colin.. ‘No reading allowed’… should, of course have been ‘no reading aloud’.

The spelling police are taking notes. 🙄

Only as tough as you make it Dougie. You’re no afraid of a bit of hard work though.

There’s always the option to drop back to a steadier group… I was tempted tonight… I definitely couldn’t hang on on the climb despite trying awfy hard.

It was good to have you and Ian to work with… Graham junior wisnae doing much work 😄.

Could always do with a few more riders to work in smaller groups after it splits.

Getting fit doesnae come easy. Got to enjoy the effort.

I’m going to dig out the mtb and have a wee go. It’ll be like going off-road on Zwift…? 🙄.

    See you there.

Another FWCC&Friends Zwift meetup posted, Tuesday 8th November at 7pm. Three circuits of the Watopia Beach Island Loop. No big climbs… only a couple of wee digs and the Watopia Sprint for those who might want to attack. Sprint finish. Should be easier for those of us who are 80kg+ (me)to hang on this week 😉.

Let me know if anyone wants to join the FWCC&Friends Zwift club and I can add them to the club roster. All welcome whether in a cycling club or no.

    Cheers, Gordon G.
