Sunday Run – 27th September 2020

The weekly club run from the Portal in Irvine. 16 riders gathered, including our two newest and youngest members – Calum and Charlie. Charlie went on to complete her first 50 mile cycle, and after only a few weeks was able to handle the group riding with no difficulty. Calum sat on the front with Sean for the first hour leaving the older guys puffing behind them on the climbs.

Initially we split into two groups, keeping similar pace but maintaining a few minutes distance. The weather was ideal for an early autumn Sunday run. The destination was Sorn by which time the groups had joined together and a couple departed after George broke a spoke.

Most riders competed 50 miles or more and over 3000 ft of climbing in what was a lumpy route.

A great Sunday run with regulars, new faces and returning of a few older ones.
