Sunday Run – 27th September 2020

The weekly club run from the Portal in Irvine. 16 riders gathered, including our two newest and youngest members - Calum and Charlie. Charlie went on to complete her first 50 mile cycle, and after only a few weeks was able to handle the group riding with no difficulty. Bill Moore Time Trial 2019

This year's Bill Moore Time Trial was won by Georgia Young (East Kilbride RC) in a time of 26:15, and by Dougie Watson (GTR) in a time of 21:08. Bill Moore was Fullarton Wheeler's erstwhile and popular club chairperson and this event, named in his honour, is a favourite date in the racing calendar. Personal Best for Steve Donaldson

The Corrieri Classic is a popular ten mile time trial hosted near Stirling. A dry morning was good; a ten mph cross/tail wind was less so. Nonetheless, popular Fullarton rider Steve Donaldson achieved a personal best of 26:04. Both Martin Shields and Allan Duncan posted competitive times of 25:13 and 23:17.

Chasing the Sun

The chase started in Tynemouth the moment the sun rose over the North Sea at 04:27 in the morning. Seventeen hours later it would set behind Arran at the finish line on Prestwick Promenade. In between lay 200 miles of cycling.
